If parts of your farm stay wet, it could be costing you more than you think. Lost grazing days, pasture damage, and limited access can all impact productivity.
Better drainage helps you get more out of your land, protect pasture, and keep your farm working in all conditions.
Send us a quick email and our rural team will get back to you with practical advice on culverts, drainage, and pipe sizing.
We’ll help you understand your options so you can invest with confidence and get more from your land:
Wet or poorly drained areas on your farm can lead to:
⛔️ Lost grazing days during wet periods
⛔️ Pasture damage from waterlogging and pugging
⛔️ Reduced pasture response after fertiliser
⛔️ Limited access for stock and machinery
⛔️ Ongoing issues with tracks, crossings, and low-lying areas
Fixing drainage is about reducing these losses and improving how your farm performs day to day.

Wahi Atahua farm, Gladstone. Carterton District
Issue: Water pooling in a low-lying dairy paddock, limiting grazing after rain
What we helped with: A smart, future-proofed farm drainage plan with our free drone mapping service
Outcome: Improved water flow and earlier grazing after wet weather
Toko Mouth farmer Simon Davies, South Otago
Issue: Replacing old steel culvert in stream to manage flows and flooding
What we helped with: EUROFLO® pipe simplified the job and reduced costs
Outcome: Better, safer access for stock and machinery in wet conditions
Sheep and dairy farm, Southland
Issue: Decades-old earthenware pipes cracking
What we helped with: Replaced old pipes with EUROFLO® slotted pipe saving hours of extra work manually slotting pipe and also saving time and money in easy installation.
Outcome: Seen a significant improvement in the drainage even through some very heavy rainfall.
Plastic pipe was definitely the way to go for us. Its relative lightweight makes for much easier transportation and installation around the farm and that makes our work faster and simpler.
Murray Ballantine, Farmer, Southland, slotted EUROFLO culvert pipe
We chose EUROFLO for a few different reasons. The cost was lower for the EUROFLO 1950mm culvert pipe than it was for the equivalent-sized pipes in concrete and it was also a single pipe, instead of the multiple pipes I would have needed, which made it easier to install.
